Same photo, different orientation. Both are uncropped. The portrait orientation captures the power of the scene and the landscape orientation captures its serenity. Both photos capture lines and forms. The landscape orientation captures more texture, especially with the morning mist. At least this is my thinking. Anybody have a thought to share?

A mist appears for a little while…

Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.”  Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.  Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”  James 4:13-15

Half Light at the Falls

Day break half-light at Cedar Falls, Hocking Hills State Park, Ohio. Ohio’s most photographed falls, you have to get up before the masses.

Enjoyed some time away this week. No schedule, no TV, no internet, no cares, little phone service…just down time.

Warming Up

Warming up in the early morning sun allowed me to capture this black winged dragon fly. They’re beauties but always on the move. Sunshine caffeinates their morning. Enjoy Macro Monday. Thanks for looking in.
