At the beginning of the summer, never having taken a butterfly photo, the idea of capturing a good photo seemed so unlikely. The monarchs seemed particularly elusive. They put a challenge before me, as if to say, “catch me if you can”. Enjoy the reward and thanks for stopping in. More fluttering flowers will gradually be added in days to come.
Love butterflies and wildflowers. Your pictures are great! What kind of camera do you have?
I have a Nikon D5200 with a kit lens. pretty basic. I’ve added a 200mm zoom, well see how that works? I also use extension rings for some macro shots.
Butterflies are one thing… but catch them together with a bee on the flower is something! Grate!
I guess they were after the same thing 🙂
I meant – Great!
Wonderful selection! My favourite is Great Spangled Fritillary! There are hardly any butterflies where I live, so I went to visit “Butterfly World” last summer to get an opportunity to get some nice shots – even without a macro lens. They are abundant in these parts and made for an early on success for my photo journey
