I stepped off the trail into a clearing to get an open capture of the setting sun when large movement caught my eye. I’d been there awhile watching the celestial show when this guy appeared and entered into a stare down with me. Or at least I thought it was me he was interested in. When I turned around to walk out; a rather large doe occupied the trail behind.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
