Wisdom’s Design

Wisdom's Design

Where then does wisdom come from?
    Where does understanding dwell?
It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing,

Morning Friends

Summer allows me the luxury of early morning hikes. I’ve been carrying my 85mm Nikkor Micro Lens and working on some macro shots. These are handheld shots, so I’ll give myself a little credit for some patience and willingness to sort through a lot of bad photos. Both of these shots are within 2′. The Rainbow Bluet (I think, they take on so many color phases, I find them hard to identify with certainty) was occupied eating breakfast allowing me to move in close. The Eastern Red Damsel played tag with me but still gave me  couple of good shots. I call them “wisps in the breeze.” they are so small they are virtually transparent.  Spotting them is like catching the winds movement. The camera aids the eye in bringing so much more wonder into view.

More Friday Friends.

The Screech Family

In route to visit my daughter’s family in Indiana, a text came from my daughter letting us know that an owl family was living next door and that the kids would be more than happy to introduce you to us.

Many years ago, as part of a graduate internship program, I cared for an injured great horned owl. Owls have since  occupied a special interest to me. So I delighted to have my grand kids enjoy my pleasure and introduce me to the neighbors.

My Friday Friends this week are these special neighbors.
