Friday Friends and Flowers

I’m expanding Friday’s theme for the summer as the life cycle peaks. This Azure Bluet Damselfly  left the pond and flew into the woods to hunt and so my capture is along the trail. The meadow flowers are at their peak now. This delicate yellow flower with deeper colored center and heart shaped petals caught my attention hanging out with the daisies.

Wildflower Fest – Surprise

Trout Lillies are always a pleasant surprise. They come and go so quickly. There is an added surprise to if you wish to spot it. The flower takes its common name from its spotted leaves like a speckled trout, not from its yellow flower. Justice for the trout, but maybe not so fair for the Lilly.

Coltsfoot Trio

Perfect timing. This is my spring break week. My  youngest son is home to visit and wants to hike. And the spring wildflowers are popping. Lets see if I can post a wildflower a day to celebrate. This Coltsfoot trio will get me started off.
