My best landscape I posted Wednesday from Ash Cave.
Mostly I’ve taken more intimate landscapes or nature close up. I did take this photo from the Rim Trail at Conkle’s Hollow State Nature Preserve (Ohio) last week. I snapped it on a whim, its not really in its peak of beauty. I’ve included the reward for walking the forest floor trail into the hollow, the intimate landscape of the inner falls.
The pleasure of our North American 4 seasons is to know that in looking back you also see what there is to look forward too. The folks with the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge lift our drab winter spirits by having us seek out cheerful vibrant pictures. I trust I can give your spirit a lift with this Yellow Tiger Swallowtail on early blooming Milkweed. look close and you’ll find a few other hidden finds. For other challenge Photos look here.
Each evening as we arrive home from work, we are greeted by roosting crows. They chatter incessantly, darken the already seasonally gray sky, and make a mess of things. I wonder what brought them here this year? I suspect the land fill a few miles away becomes a day time feeding trough and our wood ridge a stopping point on the to a more protected evening roost. Until this year I have never seen such a gathering.
