Balanced State of Mind

Responding to The WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge, I created my own image. Through the years, I have been characterized as steady, balanced, calm. I once was given the award as Mr. Cool Calm and Collected. Well…if only… haha. I was given a solid foundation growing up for Christian faith and practice, providing a balanced outlook on life through its ups and downs.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Cee’s Black & White Challenge – Stone Wall

For Cee’s Black and White challenge this week, I chose to go to structures I pass regularly on my hiking trails. At The Wilderness Center, Wilmot Ohio, are the foundation remains of a farmstead granted by Thomas Jefferson. I’ve included part of the old barn foundation and my discovery of rock stacks on the old house foundation. Two old bridges span the Tuscarawas River along the Zoar Valley Trail, part of the Ohio to Erie Towpath trail. These provide two samples of stone buttresses.
