Hope Never Fades

My mother passed away in September. My daughter lifted this rose in memory from the graveside casket. The rose itself fades, memories remain, and hope lives on for the believer in Jesus Christ.

The rose also demonstrates something new for me. I experimented with a new lens; a Nikkor 85mm macro and processed each photo with Adobe Lightroom.

Ice covers everything outside today, so it was a good day to experiment a little.Natural window light. Foam board background. I was pleased, and mom loved flowers. She would love it too.

Praise to God for a Living Hope

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

A Love Trio

Two hands, two grand kids and you have a love trio. Many combinations are available. All that is required are open hands and creating a moment in time, something in which grandparents excel.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Today was a good day.

Grandpa, can we go for a hike?

How would you like to take a special hike with grandpa, a camera hike?

Awesome!

It was a good day, and his treasured photo was a gold leaf. His eye, his wonder, his captured moment, his treasure.
