Roman Numerals in the break wall of the South Haven Light House Pier on Lake Michigan. Numbers is the WPC Photo Challenge of the week .
For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge, I found these driftwood pieces collected in the past from Lake Michigan’s Shore. Worn, weathered, beaten and battered smooth they make a perfect subject. I shot this collection of macro shots using a background of manila braille paper, black cloth and and the back of a legal pad. I utilized a 20mm and 36mm Extension tube. Enjoy!
I grew up spending weeks of my summer climbing Lake Michigan sand dunes. Last summer I accepted the challenge, shortly after my 59th birthday of dunes climbing once again. With my Montana grown son-in-law, who is seeing such a sight for the first time, I huffed and puffed to the top. Actually I felt pretty good, I regularly hike and bike, but my joints did register quit a protest. A satisfying personal victory.
