SHINE is the WPC photo challenge of the week. I immediately thought of this picture capturing the sun’s rippled reflection as a backdrop for a dragonfly photo shoot last summer. I posted a similar picture when the theme was Frame.
Looking Up This weeks theme for the Weekly Photo Challenge
It’s been ten years since I walked the hills and pasture of what once was home. This old gelding seemed to recognize a familiar face – he was in my face at least. It made the perfect opportunity to join in on Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge – Heads or facial features this week.
Thus says the Lord:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
And makes flesh his strength,
Whose heart departs from the Lord.
For he shall be like a shrub in the desert,
And shall not see when good comes,
But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness,
In a salt land which is not inhabited.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
Jeremiah 17:5-8 (NKJV)
Calm Before the Storm
For Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge this week , I went back to the railroad trestle that goes over the Zoar Valley Trail. A trail I frequently go to. Industrial strength at work.
A little different take for Wordless Wednesday.
Blue Bird Ghost House
It also works well for Cee’s Oddball Photo Challenge.
Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge this week features photo subjects beginning with the letter S.
A bright sunny Sunday afternoon provided some very nice shadows.
