Another Friday Friend
Another Friday Friend
Little One
My venture into bird photography on the trail continues. Success is small at this point, as is this little Downy woodpecker I was fortunate enough at getting a clean snap. Black and white processing offered a little more detail in an otherwise rather drab setting.
My Friday Friend is this song sparrow spotted on the frozen waters of the old Erie Canal bed on the Zoar Valley Trail. I can’t help but think he’s chirping to the tune to Frozen.
Two things are unusual here. I didn’t remember ever seeing a killdeer in the fall, nor do i ever remember seeing one by the water. They are the “Land Plover”. It may be more habits, mine and theirs. Anyway, they were quite entertaining.

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “(Extra)ordinary.”
I found this Bird house in traveling through Central New York to be pretty ordinary. Its perch on the bucket list is extra-ordinary. Enjoy, have a great week.
