My mother passed away in September. My daughter lifted this rose in memory from the graveside casket. The rose itself fades, memories remain, and hope lives on for the believer in Jesus Christ.
The rose also demonstrates something new for me. I experimented with a new lens; a Nikkor 85mm macro and processed each photo with Adobe Lightroom.
Ice covers everything outside today, so it was a good day to experiment a little.Natural window light. Foam board background. I was pleased, and mom loved flowers. She would love it too.
Praise to God for a Living Hope
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

I am sorry for your loss and admire your hope.
Thank you. Always looking up!
It is always the best way to look. 😉
I am sorry for your loss. I lost my mom 4 years ago to cancer. I don’t think I could have handled it if I didn’t have the hope that physical death in this world is not the end. I cling to God’s promises to His children and know that my mom is in a far better place. I have so many family members waiting for me when I pass from this world to the next, it’s going to be a great time of reunion! May our Father comfort you and your family in this time with the joy and hope of a future reunion with your loved one.
You have captured the hope of God’s love. Our family is a family of the hope that God sent to us this Christmas season.
Blessings to you and your loved ones.
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The rose is still beautiful, even when it fades.
Thank you. Truthfully, beauty never fades 🙂
God bless! My Dad died in early October so I probably know where you’re at this Christmas. Wishing you a peaceful time with your memories. 🙂
Precious memories. 🙂 God bless.
Loss is hard, but faith and hope sustain those who believe. Your flowers are beautiful. You and the new lens have done well by them.
Thank you. Very kind of you.
