A Look Back, A New Look Going Forward.

WordPress congratulated me a little while back on my 5 years of blogging. An automated nod for sure. Ordinaryhiker was my original title for a blog that was to be a nature journal. It is still the underlying identity of this blog. My original blog featured my writings to camp directors and staff; from that came my blogger identity as “making camp”. Ordinaryhiker never took off due to circumstances unforeseen. Primarily recovering from the misadventures of lung surgery.

In March, I decided to blog again as a way to share and get some feedback on my photos, as a new photo hobbyist. Looking for a blog title that sounded photo worthy, I choose Snap Shot. It took off more than I would imagine. In the process, I realized that while I take on a variety of subjects, I am primarily a nature photographer …  the ordinary hiker.

So, with the start of the new year, I am reverting back to being the Ordinary Hiker. Snap Shots by Wm. Roloff Photography. Changes will be on the way, a new gravatar etc.,. Thanks to you all who have made my photo journey such a joy and contributed to my growth.

As my first post of the new year I’m choosing 20 (if I can 🙂 ) of my favorite photos from last year. They are in no particular order but I would be curious to know your favorites.
